QTY:

Equivac-T Vaccine
Actions Equivac T meets the higher potency requirements for tetanus toxoid for equines. After an initial dose, a period of nine to 14 days is required for the development of an effective immunity.
Indications Immunisation of animals against tetanus. The susceptibility of animals to tetanus varies considerably according to species, e.g. horses, sheep and goats are highly susceptible; cats, dogs, pigs and cattle are moderately susceptible; birds are highly resistant. If losses in animals have occurred from tetanus, seek veterinary advice to ensure correct diagnosis and institution of the most effective vaccination program.
The intramuscular route is recommended for the vaccination of horses. The subcutaneous route should be used in dogs, cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.

Dosage and Administration Give 1 mL in all species as follows.
Horses. Intramuscular injection in the side of the neck or body away from harness. Sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, dogs. Subcutaneous injection in the side of the neck just below and behind the base of the ear.
A single dose of toxoid given to an unimmunised animal at the time of wounding or surgery may not prevent tetanus. A second dose given four weeks after the initial dose should ensure a high level of immunity. If a third (booster) dose is given a year later, long lasting immunity will ensue. It is advisable, particularly in valuable animals, to give regular boosters.
