QTY:

Fido's Fre-Itch Rinse Concentrate

Manufacturer:  Mavlab Pty Ltd
Registered Name Fido's Fre-Itch Rinse Concentrate for Dogs, Cats, Puppies, Kittens and Cage Birds
Composition Pyrethrins 10 g/L, piperonyl butoxide 18 g/L, N-octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide (MGK 264) 30 g/L.
Description A low odour, water based formulation suitable for use in a rinse, hydrobath, dip or spray. Contains no alcohol or petroleum solvents.
Actions In insects the natural pyrethrins, which have no anticholinesterase activity, cause slow closure of the sodium channel activation gate resulting in hyperexcitation followed by convulsions and death. They are synergised by piperonyl butoxide, which has a minor repellent action in its own right. N-octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide (MGK 264) is an insecticide synergist with repellant properties.
Indications Fleas (Ctenocephalides sp.) and lice (Trichodectes canis, Heterodoxus sp.), ticks including paralysis tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes holocyclus); prevents attachment for up to three days on dogs and cats. Controls lice on ornamental cage birds and rodents.
Warnings In paralysis tick areas, inspect dogs and cats daily.
Precautions Do not contaminate food and water containers.
Poisonous to fish and crustaceans; do not contaminate ponds, streams and aquaria.
Safety directions Wash hands after use. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and avoid inhaling spray mist.
First Aid If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
Directions for Use Dilute before use; make up fresh solution before each use.
Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rodents. Mix 8 mL/800 mL warm water (40 mL to 4 L) and dip, swab, sponge or spray animal with this solution until thoroughly soaked avoiding contact with pet's eyes. Allow animal to dry naturally; towel dry puppies and kittens to prevent chilling. For best results do not rinse off.
Suggested treatment for continuous paralysis tick control is to rinse the animal according to the product literature once every three days.
Zone control. Change bedding or spray with diluted solution and allow to dry; treat other areas frequented by the animal when necessary, diluted as above.
Ornamental cage birds. Mix 2 mL/200 mL water in a clean pump spray and spray (fine setting) bird lightly all over, ruffling the feathers to allow spray to penetrate to skin. Avoid contact with pet's eyes. Allow bird to dry naturally in a warm place to prevent chilling. Repeat as necessary.
